Valerie Gibbons

As a child I was driven to tell stories and compelled to tell anyone who would listen. If anything exciting was to happen or had happened, I had to be the one to tell it! Whether fact or fiction, I have always enjoyed telling stories. Years later it would make sense that I would find myself striving to become a journalist, graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Communication Studies. I have always been inspired by the written word as a means to tell a story, but found that visual communication intrigued me and became more of an interest of mine. Photography and videography have become my true calling for sharing stories with the world. It might be true what is said about childhood. Look back on it and there you shall find what you were most passionate about, unknowingly leading you to what you were always meant to do in this life…….We only become who we are by having the courage to share ourselves and our passions with others.
